Thomas the Train: TrackMaster Stepney and Troublesome Truck Review

This is a plastic Trackmaster engine. It uses a hook to connect cars, so it is not compatible with the wooden engines. You can either push this around the track while it is turned off or turn it on and let it go by itself. It only runs in the forward direction. It goes pretty fast and one battery lasts a long time. To install the AA battery, pull the fake center wheels down while pulling the top off. It helps to slightly squeeze the sides of the top while you are pulling it off. On this engine, you do not have to unscrew anything to replace the battery. We started with a basic Thomas set and then added some extra track, switches and few engines. There are a lot of engines to choose from. You can normally buy one of these for less than fifteen dollars. For the price this is a good value, and it has held up very well to a lot of play.
