This is a well designed and straight forward machine. The fan is mounted on the bottom. It blows air up a metal ramp unto a spinning wheel made of bubble wands. Simple and effective. It seems very durable being of an all metal construction (except for the wand wheel)and it produces a great deal of bubbles at a time to keep you entertained. It is a bit pricey if you look at other machines but I think this one is worth it. All of the other ones I researched were plastic with a limited lifespan based on reviews. This one has lasted all summer long so far and is still going strong. The wheel comes off simply by unscrewing a phillips head screw for easy cleaning of the wand wheel. There are no instructions, so for those wondering, the handle gets mounted on the side where the on/off switch is.
