GeoTrax Rail and Road System: Cross Valley Junction Playset Review
This is one of the best train sets I can imagine. The pieces are durable, suitable for very young children (2 and up), a very low price, and the set has a lot to do.The set comes complete with a good amount of track, a station house, a crossing, a log loader, a crane, crossing gate, railroad signs, billboard, and a tree with an owl in it.
The station has a crane loader that can handle the logs or the supplied crate. One of the train cars flips open. The log loader can have track (rail or road) on either side and can deliver the logs to either.
My 2-year-old had no trouble putting the track together (it stays together better than Brio) and absolutely loves playing with the set. My 5-year-old daughter is also fascinated by the set. I really can't imagine any other train set being comparable for under twenty bucks.
This set also connects with all of the other Geotrax sets (railway, construction, and emergency rescue).
