Thomas the Train: TrackMaster New Moments - Diesel 10 Takes Charge Review

I ordered both New Moments Diesel 10 and the original Diesel 10 for my 2 boys. I hate to have a noah's ark of toys and thought they would have two different trains to add to their collection. Aside from a slight facial change and the diesel grime on the new moments one, they are an exact copy. The boys were disappointed that "Pinchy" Diesel 10's shovel arm is fixed in place as part of the train. The shovel can open and close, but cannot move to pick up anything. They still enjoy them, but it would have been nice to know before we purchase it. The other trackmaster trains take AA or AAA batteries, both Diesel 10's take 1 C battery, adding another size to the list of batteries to buy to keep them going. The battery does seem to last and after three days of play, they are still going. If I had known they were almost the same I would have just bought 2 of the original since they like the cleaner look without the soot stains. They fight over the original, because they don't want the dirty one.
